Marvin Seidel, the talented badminton player from Saarbrücken, made a convincing start at the Badminton Open with his partner Thuc Phuong Nguyen. The duo easily moved into the round of 16 after successfully playing their opening match. Seidel and Nguyen won in straight sets against the Danish pair of Rasmus Espersen and Amalie Cecilie Kudsk, 21:13 and 21:16. The total playing time was only 31 minutes, which indicates the dominance of the Saarland pair.

The Badminton Open, which is held in the Saarlandhalle in Saarbrücken, is an important event in the European badminton calendar.
