The TTC OE Clarity Telefonie-Systeme Bad Homburg has presented its squad in preparation for the 2025/26 table tennis season. Coach Helmut Hampl and team manager Sven Rehde have put together a young, dynamic team that is looking forward to the challenges of the new season. The kick-off is on August 30, 2025 at 3 p.m. against SV Werder Bremen in the Klaus-Dieter-Fische-Halle.
In the new season, the TTC OE is relying on talent. The players Ivor Ban, Jo Yokotani and Juan Perez strengthen the team. While Ban and Perez are 22 years old and have a lot of potential, Yokotani, at 23, is ranked 156th in the world. The team also includes Csaba András and Benno Oehme, who most recently won bronze with the German student national team at the “Rhine Ruhr World University Games 2025”.
Departures and new arrivals
However, the TTC OE also has to cope with departures. Kristian Karlsson, who was the team's best player last season with 21:12 victories, is moving to Borussia Dortmund. Yuma Tsuboi returns to Japan after contributing two singles and one doubles victory. These departures have an impact on the team structure, but Hampl is convinced that the integration of the new additions will strengthen the team.
The team's preparation is intensive. Training takes place in the Wingert Dome, where, among other things, doubles lineups are played out. Another highlight will be the official season opening for fans on Lantern Festival Sunday in the Wingert Dome, which begins at 11 a.m. with a press conference and an entertainment program.
Schedule and competitions
The TTC OE also has big goals for the new season. The first home game will take place on September 6, 2025 at 2 p.m. against ASC Grünwettersbach. The team is also seeded for the round of 16 in the cup competition and will play there against 1. FC Saarbrücken II on September 12, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. The last meeting with SV Werder Bremen ended in a 0-3 defeat on February 27, 2025, which should give the team additional motivation.
