SG Bexbach celebrates an impressive 3-0 derby win against Kleinottweiler!
On Sunday, October 26, 2025, SG Bexbach met ASV Kleinottweiler in the derby. Around 200 spectators found their way to the DJK sports grounds at the old mud pond to watch the exciting encounter. SG Bexbach, currently second in the Neunkirchen district league, showed themselves to be superior in this match and clearly defeated the previously third-placed ASV Kleinottweiler 3-0.
The course of the game was already clear in the first half. SG Bexbach took the lead in the 11th minute with a penalty, converted by Tobias Deutsch. The penalty resulted from a foul on Nicolas Thies. Just four minutes later, Philipp Baschab made it 2-0 after successfully completing a precise solo effort. ASV Kleinottweiler was unable to create any significant scoring opportunities in the first half, while Bexbach continued to build up pressure. An aluminum goal from Marcel Preßer highlighted Bexbacher's superiority.
Superiority of the Bexbachers
In the second half, ASV Kleinottweiler increased its efforts to score a goal. They pushed until the 65th minute, but were unable to create any significant chances. Instead, SG Bexbach made it 3-0 in the 75th minute through David Bender, who scored a header from a corner from Fred Stumpfs. Bexbach also had further chances in the final phase, which were not taken advantage of by Marian Eichel and Fred Stumpfs. Referee Pascal Frenzel officiated the game without any problems.
With this victory, SG Bexbach celebrated with their fans, while ASV Kleinottweiler suffered a setback in the current season of the Homburg district league after this defeat.
The ASV Kleinottweiler in context
ASV Kleinottweiler, founded in 1920 and based in the Saarpfalz district, has historically played a varied role in Saarland football. The club was once known as the Bavaria Kleinottweiler Football Club, merged with a cycling club in 1924 and experienced some success, including the championship in the 1964/65 season. These seasons are formative for the club's history, but the club has fought against relegation several times in recent years and is currently playing in the Homburg district league.
