Tenth graders show heart: Compassion” social internship inspires!

The social internship “Compassion” at the St. Johann preparatory college aims to promote compassion and solidarity. In the current round, the tenth graders of the preparatory college are actively involved in social institutions in the region. As a result, the students not only gain practical experience, but also develop a deeper social sensitivity and orientation towards the common good.

By actively helping instead of being indifferent to the needs of others, young people should learn to take responsibility for their fellow human beings. The program enables participants to gain deeper insights into the work of clubs, parishes, schools and kindergartens, which are made available to the editorial team of the Studienkolleg. The contents of the articles are checked and approved by an editorial team, although the publisher assumes no liability for their accuracy.

Graduation and recognition

The internship ends ceremoniously with a church service in which the committed students receive certificates for their commitment. This recognition reflects the importance of socially committed attitudes in the preparatory college. Participation in the “Compassion” program is therefore not only seen as an educational opportunity, but also as a valuable contribution to society.

Further information about this important project can be found on Kant's website. As Kant reports, the program is an enriching experience for the young people, who can get involved in the social sector in a variety of ways. The commitment not only promotes a sense of community, but also the personal development of each individual participant.
