Closure of the Alsenzbahn: Mega diversions and replacement buses from June 14th!

The Alsenzbahn, an important railway line between Kaiserslautern and Alsenz, will be completely closed for five weekends. The closure will begin on the weekend of June 14th and 15th, 2025 and will affect several trains on the RB 65 and RE 17 lines, which will therefore have to be replaced by buses. For example, in Imsweiler only stops at the school there, which can lead to longer journey times. Due to the B48 being closed at Imsweiler at the same time, the buses have to take detours, so the journey time from Bad Kreuznach to Kaiserslautern can be over 1.5 hours. Especially for travelers without season tickets and subscriptions, it is advisable to allow more time for buying tickets, as there are not all automatic ticket machines at all alternative stops.
