Fascination with chamber music: Mendelssohn and Mozart in the Detmold Concert Hall!
The fourth subscription concert of the Detmold Chamber Orchestra (DKO) will take place on June 3, 2025 in the Detmold Concert Hall. The evening begins at 7:30 p.m. and presents an exciting program with works by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The renowned pianist and former artistic director of the DKO, Alfredo Perl, will appear as a soloist, while Daniel Stabrawa, the primarius of the Philharmonia Quartet Berlin, will take on the violin solo part. The performances include Mendelssohn Bartholdy's Concerto for Violin, Piano and Strings in D minor, MWV O4, and Mozart's 33rd Symphony in B major.
The Mendelssohn piece, which the composer wrote when he was just 14 years old, showcases the musical genius's early talent and requires the musicians to have technical skills. Mozart's 33rd Symphony, on the other hand, written in 1779, impresses with its small but tonally rich composition.
