Beach tennis event in Saarbrücken: Championships start tomorrow!

The German beach tennis championship will take place from tomorrow, August 13th, to August 17th, 2025, at the new location “One Beach” below the Bismarck Bridge in Saarbrücken. This event marks a change of venue from Saarlouis to Saarbrücken, which is intended to give the event a fresh atmosphere. Games begin at 9 a.m. daily and include championships in various categories, including junior, active and senior. According to the Saarbrücken newspaper The event will be led by Anika Stephan, managing director of “Plan B Sportmarketing”.

Another highlight of the Beach Tennis Open Saarbrücken is the total prize money of 6,000 euros. In addition to the German championships, there are a variety of competitions that offer something for every taste. The disciplines include:

Additional supporting program

The organizers offer visitors entertaining formats outside of the competition. These include a tiebreak tournament, the state association team cup and an amateur cup. For the little ones there is “Beach Tennis for Kids”, hands-on activities and open courts, which make the event particularly family-friendly. The Plan B sports marketing has also added an exciting supporting program to the event, which also includes partner stands and various gastronomic offerings.

Another incentive for participants and spectators is the Players Party, which will take place on Saturday evening. Visitors can also hope for free entry and look forward to an entertaining weekend.

There will be no international ITF tournament this year, but the new formats and the redesigned location should ensure that the Beach Tennis Open Saarbrücken will be an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
