The Homburg Oberschule Stadtoldendorf (OBS) was awarded a special seal of quality in the Holzminden district. This seal of quality, which was developed by the Federal Employment Agency, the Hildesheim adult education center and the regional state office for schools and education, is awarded to general education schools that prepare their students for the world of work in an exemplary manner. OBS is the only school in its district to receive this award and at the same time emphasizes its special role in career guidance.
An expert jury thoroughly examined OBS's application, and an audit team verified the information on site. This comprehensive review shows that the school pursues high standards in professional orientation. Career guide Ute Nölting emphasizes the importance of preparing students for their professional future. Headmistress Rita Hartwig expresses her pride in the recognition by the expert jury and emphasizes that around half of the OBS students leave the school with a training contract.

From 2019, the certification process will be carried out via a special quality seal database that enables schools to register easily. A total of eight other schools received the seal of quality, but the Homburg Oberschule particularly stands out due to its committed concept.
