A strong high over Central Europe is currently having a major influence on the weather in Saarland. As the Saarbrücken newspaper According to reports, warm air from the south is causing temperatures to rise, while cooler air from the north is preventing it from moving in. The German Weather Service (DWD) is forecasting high summer temperatures of up to 31 degrees for today, Tuesday, June 18th, accompanied by lots of sunshine.
In the high altitudes, maximum temperatures of around 24 degrees can be expected. Precipitation is not expected, only occasional thick clouds could brighten the skies over the region. The nights will remain mild, with temperatures between 11 and 17 degrees and some clouds, although no rain will come. These weather conditions are ideal for anyone who wants to enjoy the sun.

The DWD also provides an outlook on weather developments over the next few days. On Thursday, the Corpus Christi holiday, there will be clear periods and temperatures in the lowlands will reach between 25 and 30 degrees, while in other areas it will be around 22 degrees. A gentle wind from the north will provide a pleasant cooling sensation. Friday night will continue to bring temperatures of around 10 to 14 degrees, but up to 7 degrees at higher altitudes, with the remaining clouds decreasing.
