In the coming week, the Saarbrücken City Library has a varied program of events for young and old. The Dudweiler Blog provides information about the exciting offers that readers can expect.

On Monday, July 7th, learning to program with Bee-Bots starts at 10 a.m. in the Brebach cultural and reading meeting place. This event is aimed at children aged 4 and over and is free of charge. Registration via email to kultur-und-lesetreff.brebach@saarbruecken.de is recommended.

Another highlight is the book bingo, which starts on Tuesday, July 8th and lasts until August 23rd. New books can be discovered during this summer campaign. Bingo cards are available at the information point on the ground floor and at the information desks on the second and third floors. Anyone who takes part has the chance to win a book voucher worth 25 euros.

In addition, the BI-BUS invites you to the animal paradise Saarbrücken Zoo on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 8th and 9th, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. He parks at the zoo kiosk and offers a free program for children. On Friday, July 11th, the bus will stop on Kamekestrasse in Alt-Saarbrücken from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Another highlight will take place on Sunday, July 13th, at the Saarbrücken Old Town Festival at the Staden, where further activities will be offered.

Reading lessons for adults

There is also an attractive offer for adults. On Wednesday, July 9th, the “Change of Wallpaper” reading hour will take place on the second floor of the city library at 10 a.m. Stories to dream about can be heard here. Advance registration is not required.

In addition to these events, the city library also offers a monthly email newsletter that provides information about current offers and events. Further information is on the website www.stadtbibliothek.saarbruecken.de to find where current events are communicated on social media channels such as Instagram and Facebook.

The Saarbrücken.de also emphasizes that the city library continues to develop offers for the community in connection with the “Together out of Loneliness” campaign week, which took place from May 26th to June 1st. These events aimed to raise awareness of loneliness and help people make new connections.

To take advantage of these valuable programs, early registration is recommended, especially for events with limited space. The city library has established itself as an important place for exchange and learning and offers a wide range of activities for all age groups.
