In 2028, Frankfurt am Main will host the EuroGames, a major event that has been held since 1992. Over 4,000 participants are expected in the Hessian metropolis, which will take place six weeks after the Olympic Games. This return to Hesse after 33 years since the EuroGames last took place in Frankfurt in 1995 was decided by the European Gay and Lesbian Sports Federation (EGLSF). Tagesschau reports.
The event will be enriched over four days with competitions in 20 disciplines, including archery, basketball, hockey, badminton, darts, boxing and football. EuroGames 2028 is closely linked to Christopher Street Day (CSD), which takes place at the same time.
