Aldi opens Christmas markets: mulled wine for just 1 euro in four cities!
In the run-up to Christmas, Aldi Süd is presenting a new concept for customers. From November 12, 2025, the discounter will be opening Christmas markets in several cities, which will be advertised as the “cheapest Christmas market in Germany”. The markets take place in the parking lots of Aldi stores in Saarbrücken, Augsburg, Bonn and Wiesbaden and offer a variety of festive treats and attractions.
The opening ceremonies will take place in two waves. From November 12th to 14th, the Christmas markets in Saarbrücken (Halbergstrasse 5) and Augsburg (Weiherstrasse 10) can be visited from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. The markets in Bonn (Maarstraße 3) and Wiesbaden (Hagenauer Straße 40) are open from November 18th to 20th.
Attractive prices and offers
Visitors can look forward to a range of affordable specialties. Mulled wine and children's punch cost just 1 euro, while a bratwurst in a roll, also in a vegan version, is available for 2 euros. Other delicacies include:
- Crêpes: 2 Euro
- Plätzchen-Tüten: 1 Euro
- Käsespätzle mit Röstzwiebeln: 2 Euro (neu)
- Heißer Aperini (auch alkoholfrei): 2 Euro (neu)
In addition, little visitors can expect a children's carousel and face painting with Christmas motifs. An interactive photo station ensures unforgettable memories, while the Aldi parking spaces are festively decorated and accompanied by Christmas music.
Social responsibility
A notable aspect of the Christmas markets is the social responsibility that Aldi Süd assumes. Proceeds from the markets go to the Off Roads Kids Foundation, which supports homeless children and young people. Last year, the foundation was able to receive 70,000 euros through this initiative, which underlines the charitable nature of the events.
With these Christmas markets, Aldi Süd not only wants to spread the Christmas flair, but also send a sign of solidarity and support. This combination of festive atmosphere, attractive prizes and social commitment could prove to be a great success. Further information about the events can be found in the reports from Focus and Picture.
