From Friday, July 11, 2025, the L 135 in Tholey will be completely closed from 7 a.m. This measure affects the section between the roundabout and Bahnhofstrasse (Theleyerstrasse). The reason for the closure is to repair fire damage, as tholey.de reports. The work is expected to be completed on the same day and the closure will be lifted in the evening.
The diversions are set up for both directions. Traffic from the direction of Theley is redirected via Birkenfelder Straße in the direction of Selbach, with further stations via Gronig, Oberthal, Bliesen, Winterbach and Alsweiler back to Tholey. From the direction of St. Wendel, the diversion leads via the B 269 towards Sotzweiler and via the L 324 to Hasborn before reaching the L 323 to Theley.
Expected traffic disruptions
During the full closure, increased traffic disruptions are to be expected, particularly during rush hour. Local public transport (ÖPNV) has already been informed about the upcoming measures and will make corresponding adjustments to the timetable, as saarland.de reports.
