On Monday, July 15, 2024, Michael Adam, the mayor of Sulzbach (CDU), begins his traditional summer tour. The opening event will take place at 3:30 p.m. in Camphausen and has the theme “sustainable heat generation for Sulzbach”. Iqony Energies GmbH will present a modernized district heating generation system that uses waste heat from mine water for district heating supply. On the second day of the tour, a visit to the Mellinweg transformer station will be on the program. There, a 35kV station converts electrical energy into the general supply. This station has recently undergone a renewal of the 35/10kV transfer transformers, which has been underway since summer 2023.
