B215 between Eystrup and Hassel: renovation starts on July 7th!

The comprehensive renovation of federal highway 215 between Eystrup and the Verden district border near Hassel will begin on July 7, 2025. The approximately 5.2 kilometer long route will be completely closed so that the necessary work can be carried out safely and efficiently. The construction phases are divided as follows:

• BA 1.1: zwischen dem Bahnübergang in Hassel und der Kreisgrenze Verden.
• BA 1.2: von der Feldstraße bis zum Netto in Eystrup.
• BA 2: Knotenpunkt der B 215 mit der L 330 in Hassel.
• BA 3+4: Rest der Strecke, Ablauf noch in Abstimmung.

Once the road renovation has been completed, the cycle path in the Verden district will also be renewed.

Detours and safety

Diversions for national traffic will be set up, with the exact routes being coordinated with the authorities concerned, such as the police and traffic authorities. Inner-city traffic routing is left to the respective city or municipality. Despite the road being completely closed, the footpaths and cycle paths will remain open during the work, ensuring the safety of pedestrians and cyclists at all times.

The expected duration of the renovation work is until the end of August 2025, with some remaining work to be completed under partial closure by mid-September. The aim is not to restrict school bus traffic during the summer holidays, which is another aspect of the planning.
