Bad Homburg Open: Siegemund is fighting for a place in the main field!
On June 5, 2025, the Bad Homburg Open published its registration list, which presents a promising field of participants. While German players are not represented in the main draw due to their current ranking positions, Eva Lys was given a wildcard for the main draw. In addition, Laura Siegemund received the first wildcard for qualification. Siegemund has the opportunity to move up to the main draw should there be any cancellations, which increases the excitement surrounding their participation.
The qualifying field, which consists of a total of 16 players, is led by Anna Kalinskaya, who is in the top 30 in the world rankings. No top 20 players have to compete for the qualifying matches, which increases the chances of the remaining participants. In addition to Laura Siegemund, only one other German player has the opportunity to take part in the qualifying games.
Free access to the qualifiers
Access to the qualifying matches on the first day is free as they take place on the secondary courts. However, an admission ticket is required for the matches on Center Court. Access to the secondary courts will remain free throughout the tournament, giving spectators the opportunity to watch the games without any financial hurdle.
