Cultural weekend in Eichsfeld: music, festivals and exciting events!

In the coming days, the citizens of Eichsfeld and the surrounding area can expect numerous cultural highlights and events. On Tuesday, June 24th, the program begins with the patron festival of the parish of St. Johannes Baptist Immingerode in the rectory. A traditional coffee table will take place from 3 p.m., followed by a celebratory mass at 5 p.m. in the church. The community invites anyone interested to register by calling 05527/6636.

Tuesday also offers a summer concert by the Eichsfeld-Gymnasium in the Ballhaus Zum fidelen Anreischken in Duderstadt. The school's brass classes, concert band, big band and choirs will perform between 6 and 8 p.m.

Cultural diversity and music

Wednesday, June 25th, this cultural journey continues with the First Social Mass in the historic town hall in Duderstadt, which takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Here, citizens receive free support with applications as well as advice on financial aid and educational opportunities. At the same time, seniors can take part in an afternoon with the St. Cyriakus community in the parish hall at 3 p.m.

Another highlight on Wednesday is the Camerata Medica summer concert, which begins at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium at Wilhelmsplatz in Göttingen. The program includes, among other things, Haydn's Symphony No. 104 and the Cello Concerto No. 1 by Saint-Saëns. At 8:15 p.m. the Apex in Göttingen invites you to a jazz event with pianist Gerrit Zitterbart and the satirist Klaus Pawlowski.

On Thursday, June 26th, the “Open Sound” event series will open at the Göttingen weekly market square. This idea is aimed at children and young people and offers a colorful program that is rounded off with a concert by Berlin singer-songwriter Dota Kehr at 8 p.m.

Jewish cultural days and other events

The Jewish Cultural Days are a central part of this week's cultural program. They begin on Friday, June 27th, with a concert by the klezmer group Nochem’s Klesmoreß. An opening event will take place at 8 p.m. in which Muriel Cantoreggi on violin, Hillel Zori on cello and pianist Roglit Ishay will perform, among others. The program includes works by Piazzolla and Debussy and promises a musical experience in a class of its own. There are also numerous other events on the program on Friday: A summer festival for rural adult education will take place in the Friedland Garden, while a monastery concert with the artists Anna Garano and Irene Kalisvaart will be presented in the Liebfrauenkirche Duderstadt from 6:30 p.m. The New Orleans Syncopators concert is also expected at the Geismar cabaret at 7:30 p.m.

The weekend finally invites you to events such as the Göttingen Ukulele Festival and the performance of the documentary play “City of Gold” in the Young Theater. On Sunday, visitors can expect a summer festival for dogs and their owners at the Immingerode sports field, which takes place from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
