The preparations for the Advent market in St. Johann are facing a significant change. The voluntary organizing committee, led by Marius Isenring, searched intensively for a successor to the market organization. This search turned out to be more challenging than initially expected. Despite the challenges, the organizing committee did not give up and was finally able to successfully achieve an exchange with the Johanneum, which will take over the management of the Advent market from 2026. The 2025 market will therefore be the last event to take place under the previous management.

This year's Advent market, which will take place on November 23rd and 24th, 2025, is an important event in the community. From 2026, the Johanneum will take over the organization of the market on its own site and will be actively involved in the preparations this year. The goal is a smooth transition in which the Johanneum is well prepared for the event thanks to its previous collaboration.

The new people in charge plan to largely retain the tried and tested character and structures of the Advent market. While the new team's first event is scheduled for the weekend of November 21st and 22nd, 2026, volunteer work in the run-up to Christmas remains a central part of the event.
