The first round of the DFB Cup for the 2025/26 season was drawn on June 15, 2025. The event took place in the German Football Museum in Dortmund and was broadcast live on ZDF and in the live stream of the ZDF media library. Owen Ansah, the fastest man in Germany, took on the role of “lottery”.
A total of 64 teams qualified for the first round, consisting of a professional and an amateur pot. The first draw pot includes the 18 Bundesliga teams and the 14 best-placed second division teams.
