Serious accident in Großrosseln: Driver flees after collision!
On August 23, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred in Großrosseln at around 3:30 p.m., which resulted in two people being seriously injured. According to initial findings, there was an unsuccessful overtaking maneuver on the main road when a French vehicle tried to overtake two cars and collided head-on with an oncoming car. In the collision, the two occupants of the rammed vehicle were seriously injured and had to receive emergency medical treatment on site before being taken to hospital for intensive care.
After the accident, the driver of the French vehicle fled towards the German-French border. Witnesses report that the other inmates also tried to escape, but were held by residents and passers-by until the police arrived.
