Triple murder in Weitefeld: Police hunt for fugitive Meisner!

On April 6, 2025, police in Weitefeld, Rhineland-Palatinate were alerted after a family was found dead in their home. The victims, a 47-year-old man, a 44-year-old woman and their 16-year-old son, were apparently murdered. The main suspect is a 61-year-old man named Alexander Meisner from a neighboring town who has been on the run since the crime.

Despite extensive searches and calls for the public to provide information, there is currently no new information about Meisner's whereabouts. The suspect's home was initially closed for investigation, but has now been reopened. The police use modern technology to search a 25 square kilometer forest area. So far, however, no new clues have been found.

Search and clues

Investigators have received over 1,300 tips, but without a decisive breakthrough in the case. Traces of blood at the crime scene suggest that Meisner may be injured, which makes the search even more difficult. The police have offered a reward of 10,000 euros for relevant information to help catch the perpetrator.

The public search for Meisner took place on the ZDF program “Aktenzeichen XY unsolved”, which resulted in new information being reported from the suspect’s circle of acquaintances. Meisner is described as male, 1.74 meters tall, weighing 74 kilograms, with brown hair and blue-gray eyes. He has several scars and a tattoo with the name “Katja” written in Russian.

Public assistance requested

The police have set up a tip line and are appealing to the public to report any information that could lead to the arrest of Alexander Meisner. The search remains one of the priorities of the investigating authorities until the suspected perpetrator is caught. Until then, it remains uncertain how the case will develop.
