Corona numbers in Saarland: Current situation revealed on June 3, 2025!

On June 3, 2025, the Corona situation in Germany and especially in Saarland remains tense. Current figures show that two new infections were reported in the Merzig-Wadern district compared to the previous day, bringing the total number of people who tested positive to 55,451. A total of two cases have been recorded in this county in the last seven days, resulting in a 7-day incidence of 1.9 per 100,000 residents.

A similar picture emerges at the state level. Five new infections were reported in Saarland today, but no new deaths. The 7-day incidence is therefore 1.1 per 100,000 inhabitants and the total number of people who tested positive is 501,967. The 35 to 59 age group is particularly affected, with the most infections at 187,828 cases.

The total number of corona cases has now exceeded the 39 million mark, and the 7-day incidence is 0.7 per 100,000 inhabitants. These numbers make it clear that despite a decline in new infections, the pandemic remains a serious threat. The fatality rate is 0.48%.

Vaccinations and vaccination rate

The measures to combat the pandemic are also reflected in the vaccination rates. According to current data, 76.3% of the population in Germany is basic immunized, which corresponds to 63,493,268 people. 77.9% of the population have received at least one vaccination. In total, more than 188 million vaccine doses had been administered by April 2023.
