St. Wendel City Festival 2025: Music, enjoyment and unforgettable experiences!
The St. Wendel City Festival 2025 is just around the corner and promises to offer a colorful weekend full of live music, festivities and regional cuisine from June 13th to 15th, 2025. Mayor Peter klar will ceremoniously open the festival on Friday evening at 7 p.m. with a traditional tapping of draft beer. The event will take place in different areas of the city and create a special kind of festival atmosphere that is appealing to young and old alike.
The program places a particular focus on regional artists and local gastronomy, but will also present national contributions. An extensive program is offered on several stages and action areas in the city, including the Schloßplatz, the Fruit Market, the Kugelbrunnen as well as the action area in Mott and Balduinstrasse.
Varied music and entertainment
On the opening evening, the live music band “Krachleder” will perform on the Schloßplatz. A highlight of Saturday are the performances by Oku and “BabaShango”, also on the Schloßplatz. On Sunday evening, visitors can look forward to singer-songwriter Luke Zimmer and the band “Final Frontier”.
The fruit market opens with the band “The New Ferry” on Friday evening and offers a relaxed atmosphere with cutting-edge live music and dancing. At the Kugelbrunnen it will be jazz and swing, with the group “Golden Slippers” playing on Sunday. There is a varied program for younger visitors, which begins on Friday evening with an open-air disco in the activity area in the Mott. On Saturday, the newcomer contest “City Festival meets Block Party” will be held there, with the focus on hip-hop and rap.
Culinary delights and practical information
The culinary offerings of the city festival are complemented by St. Wendel gastronomy and various food and drink stands. Visitors can look forward to a variety of local specialties offered in the various festival areas.
Parking is available in the city garage - on Fridays and Saturdays until 2 a.m. and on Sundays until 11 p.m. A DRK first aid station will be set up throughout the festival in the Schloßstraße 7 service building on Schloßplatz.
