On Saturday afternoon, June 14, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred on the L148 between Wadern and Nunkirchen in which a motorcycle and a bus collided. The collision happened around 2:55 p.m., near the junction with Bardenbach. How Tixio Reportedly, the 41-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured in the accident and taken to the hospital in Lebach. His condition is stable. The 48-year-old bus driver, however, only suffered minor injuries and was able to leave the hospital after short treatment.
Fortunately, nine passengers on the bus were uninjured. The L148 was completely closed until around 6:20 p.m. due to the police investigating the accident. The exact cause of the accident is still unclear at this point, and witnesses are asked to contact the North Saarland police station.
