On June 12, 2025, the traditional Pentecost tournament for youth teams took place in the Ellenfeld Stadium, which was organized in honor of the former honorary president Kurt Gluding. The event attracted a total of 18 youth teams who competed against each other in a festive and sporting setting. Oliver Kremp took over the management of the tournament together with Jörg “Pogie” Jung, while the organization was ensured by Marco Reiser and Oliver Koch.
The tournament was divided into two age groups: the E-Juniors and the D-Juniors. The E-Juniors started their games at 10:00 a.m., followed by the D-Juniors, who fought for the title from 2:15 p.m. In the E-youth, the teams competed in two groups, with Borussia Neunkirchen playing in group 1 with FC Homburg, SV Kohlhof, SV Oberwürzbach and JFK Strasbourg and in group 2 SG Schmelz, FV Neunkirchen, TuS Wiebelskirchen, Blau-Weiß St. Wendel and DJK Bildstock were represented.
Results of the E-Juniors
The E-youth saw an exciting tournament, but Borussia Neunkirchen was eliminated early. The first places in the groups went to FC Homburg and JFK Strasbourg. SG Schmelz and TuS Wiebelskirchen qualified for the final round, with SG Schmelz ultimately taking the overall victory.
Results of the D-Juniors
The D-Junior groups were similarly prominent. Borussia Neunkirchen was placed in Group 1 against SV Illingen, Sportfreunde Köllerbach and SG Schiffweiler. At the same time, JFK Strasbourg, SV Klarenthal, JSG Schwalbach and SV Ottweiler played in Group 2. Based on strong performances from the teams, Borussia Neunkirchen and Köllerbach made it to the final. Köllerbach won the tournament, while Borussia Neunkirchen took third place after a defeat against JFK Strasbourg.
The sales team in the youth room took care of the physical well-being and the atmosphere during the tournament, which made a significant contribution to the success of the event.
