Citizens' Festival in Feucht: A day full of music, fun and duck racing!

On Saturday, July 5th, the Feucht market will be enlivened by an exciting community festival that invites local clubs and the entire community to celebrate. The celebrations begin at 2 p.m. in the town center around the main street and offer a varied program with numerous attractions for young and old. Mayor Jörg Kotzur will give a greeting on the stage at the Sacred Heart Church at 4:30 p.m. before the celebrations continue into the night.

The extensive offering at the community festival includes a children's program with a bouncy castle, a toy mobile as well as painting and craft activities. A special highlight is the children's trempel market, which takes place around the Pfinzing Castle and the community library from 2 p.m. Those interested do not need to register; places will be allocated from 1:30 p.m.

Entertainment and attractions

Another amusing element of the community festival is the duck race in the Gauchsbach. Rubber ducks are provided here, and the big race ends at 6:45 p.m. with an award ceremony in front of the Sacred Heart Church. The musical framework is provided by various bands, including the Feucht secondary school, the junior and wind orchestra and many other local artists such as the Pino Barone Trio and Gebrüder Sing.

In addition, impressive dance shows are performed by teams such as Move in Motion and the Faschingsgesellschaft Feuchtfröhlich. Of course, the culinary delights are not neglected either, so there is something for every taste. Further information is available on the Feucht website www.feucht.de to find.

Citizens' festival in Herges-Hallenberg

At the same time, festivities are also taking place in Herges-Hallenberg. The Herges youth fire brigade was again able to win the Citizens' Festival Cup in the firefighting attack, which was a remarkable increase as seven teams took part - compared to only three last year. The Herges-Hallenberg team started successfully with a time of 59 seconds, which no other team could beat. Second and third places went to the teams from Alterbach, who were only 12 and 13 seconds slower, respectively.

The duck race, which this year took place under the direction of the youth fire department, was another highlight of the festival. 300 ducks took part in the race, covering one kilometer in the hazel. The proceeds went to the youth fire department. There were also many activities for children in Herges-Hallenberg, such as bouncy castles and fire truck rides. The musical entertainment was provided by the Acoustic Trio XXL, while the organizers, the fire department association and the youth fire department, were very satisfied with how the festival went.

The next event for the youth fire brigades in Haselgrund is already coming up: the Haseltal tent camp will take place in Alterbach from June 23rd to 26th, which will fuel anticipation for further exciting summer activities in the district. InSa Thuringia also reports on the impressive achievements of the teams and the large number of participants.
