Three days full of music and enjoyment: Festival in Bliesgau starts soon!
From Friday, July 4th to Sunday, July 6th, 2025, a three-day music and culture festival will take place in Bliesgau, precisely in Breitfurt, which is under the patronage of Education Minister Christine Streichert-Clivot. Entry to this special event is free, providing a great opportunity for music lovers and families to enjoy the local culture.
The musical program is diverse and ranges from traditional brass music to pop and rock to French chansons. A special highlight is the performance of the renowned South Tyrolean band Southbrass on Sunday at 3 p.m. The seven musicians are known for their modern interpretation of brass music and won the Grand Prix of Brass Music in 2018 in a competition against groups from Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Southbrass strives to bring people together with her music and shows that brass music is a multifaceted and limitless genre.
The program in detail
The festival will open on Friday at 5 p.m. by the Breitfurt gymnastics club's wind orchestra under the direction of Thomas Welsch. Here are the highlights of each day:

- 17 Uhr: Klassische Blasmusik
- 18.30 Uhr: Alex Breidt – Singer-Songwriter mit Indie-Rock-Sound
- 21 Uhr: Cold as Ice – Foreigner-Tribute-Band mit 1980er Rockklassikern
- Samstag, 5. Juli:
- 17 Uhr: Musikverein Gersheim mit sinfonischer Blasmusik unter Sebastian Jung
- 18.30 Uhr: Memphis Blue – Band mit Rock- und Pop-Hits
- 21 Uhr: Thomas Blug’s „Rockanarchie“ – energiegeladene Rockshow
- Sonntag, 6. Juli:
- 10.30 Uhr: Skyline Bigband mit Swing- und Jazzarrangements
- 12.30 Uhr: Die Hofgassler – böhmisch-bayerische Musik
- Abschluss: Trio Ça va mit Chansons von Brel bis Piaf
Culinary delights
In addition to the musical performances, the festival will also have a lot to offer in terms of cuisine. Visitors can enjoy the “sausage roast” over the entire three days. On Sunday you can also expect spit roast, chicken and knuckles. Cocktails and non-alcoholic refreshments are also available at the “Wunder-Bar”.
The festival promises to be an unforgettable experience in the picturesque setting of Breitfurt, with a varied program for young and old. It is the ideal opportunity to meet regional talent and celebrate the diversity of music. The performance of Southbrass, who have already shone at major events such as the Egerländer Open-Air and the Munich Oktoberfest, will certainly be one of the highlights of the festival.
