Serious accident in Fahrenbach: rescue helicopter in action!

On June 20, 2025, a serious accident occurred at around 5:25 p.m. at the junction of the L525 and the K3970 in Fahrenbach, Neckar-Odenwald district. A 20-year-old driver of a Ford Grand C-Max, occupied by five other people, wanted to turn left towards Trienz and disregarded the right of way of a 74-year-old driver of a Ford EcoSport. This collision resulted in a significant accident that resulted in several injuries.

The 74-year-old driver was slightly injured in the incident. Two passengers in the Ford Grand C-Max, both 18 years old, also suffered minor injuries. Tragically, another passenger in the same vehicle was seriously injured and had to be flown to a clinic in a rescue helicopter. The resulting material damage is estimated at around 35,000 euros, and both vehicles were no longer drivable after the accident and had to be towed away.

The rescue service was deployed with six vehicles and a rescue helicopter. The fire brigade, consisting of eight vehicles and 54 emergency services, were also on site to deal with the situation.
