Gourmet highlight: Atama opens in St. Ingbert under Martin Stopp!

The gourmet restaurant Atama was officially opened in St. Ingbert on the evening of June 12, 2025. Under the leadership of top chef Martin Stopp, Villa Almarin has been transformed into a new gastronomic highlight. Atama offers guests an unforgettable culinary experience and marks the change from the previous restaurant Tao, which operated at Elversberger Kaiserlinde for a period of seven years. The change was completed in January, after which operations temporarily continued during the renovation and extension work.

The last transitional guests were welcomed to Tao last Saturday before the doors of Atama now open to all culinary enthusiasts. Martin Stopp, who runs the restaurant, brings a lot of experience and a creative concept that increases expectations of what is on offer. “We are pleased to present our guests not only a new restaurant, but also a new ‘gourmet world’,” said Stopp in an interview.

A memorable soft opening

The soft opening, which took place recently, served as a test run for the redesigned space and menu. The guests already had the opportunity to try some of the new creations that are intended to set Atama apart from the competition. The transformation was necessary to take a leading role in the gourmet segment in the region. The restaurant is now poised to further establish itself in the coming months and will also see additional growth in May with the opening of a new location under the name Tao.

The Atama will make an important contribution to the culinary landscape of St. Ingbert and the surrounding region and will attract both locals and guests looking for a unique culinary experience. The high quality of the food and the service led by Martin Stopp promise to exceed the expectations of gourmets.
