International city festival in Bad Homburg: A day full of diversity!
The International City Festival will take place in Bad Homburg on Saturday, June 14, 2025. With the aim of promoting integration and cultural diversity, the event will be held between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m. on the market square and on Louisenstrasse. The official opening will take place at 1 p.m. by Mayor Alexander Hetjes, city councilor Tobias Ottaviani and representatives of the Foreigners' Advisory Board. It is expected that numerous visitors from Bad Homburg and the surrounding area will take part.
A variety of clubs and organizations will present traditional dances, music, food and customs at this festival. The Greek community will perform folkloric dances, while the Chilean group “Pehuén” and the Bulgarian folk dance group “Horovodzi” are part of the program. From 6.30 p.m. the evening program will be rounded off by the duo “Nella & Giancarlo”, who will play international hits. For younger visitors there is a children's program with craft stations, face painting and hands-on activities from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Entry is free.

The International City Festival is not only a cultural highlight, but also an invitation to all Bad Homburgers and guests to celebrate the diversity of the spa town. The event underlines the city's commitment to an open and intercultural society. This commitment will also be highlighted through the upcoming Intercultural Week.
The Intercultural Week will take place from September 21st to 28th, 2023 and is celebrating its 50th anniversary. Under the motto “for!” Numerous activities are offered in many cities and towns. Refugee Day will be celebrated on Friday, September 26, 2023, with a varied and varied program of events. The events start daily at 8:00 a.m. and end at 6:00 p.m., which offers space for interesting encounters and dialogues.
