Gersheim becomes the center of solar energy: entry into Agri-PV possible!
The largest vertical agri-solar park in the world will be built in Gersheim in 2026. Investors can participate from 50,000 euros and benefit from a 7% return.

Gersheim becomes the center of solar energy: entry into Agri-PV possible!
From the beginning of 2026, the world's largest agricultural solar park with a capacity of 15.2 MWp will be built in Gersheim, Saarland. This innovative project utilizes vertical technologies with bifacial solar panels arranged in an east-west orientation. The development allows over 90% of the agricultural area to be cultivated, supported by the modules arranged eight meters apart. This leaves enough space for agricultural machinery and animals, which means that the area can be used sensibly twice.
Private investors in Germany now have the opportunity to participate in this project for the first time. The investment takes place through a limited partnership on the basis of a private placement, which is offered by Next2Sun GmbH and Grüne Sachwerte. Investors can expect a long-term target return of 7% per year. The investment should generate valuable annual income until at least December 31, 2052, and the minimum investment for a limited partnership participation is 50,000 euros.
Integration of ecology and renewable energies
The project aims to combine the energy transition with agriculture and draws on the benefits of agri-photovoltaics (agri-PV). This technology offers advantages particularly for sensitive special crops such as fruit, vegetables and viticulture, as it reacts sensitively to weather influences. Agri-PV protects these crops from hail, frost and drought, which can significantly increase yields. For example, in the Agri-PV Baden-Württemberg model region it was found that shade-tolerant crops such as leafy and fruit vegetables as well as grass clover achieved particularly good results.
Next2Sun's Agri-PV system shows that solar farm generation is particularly high in the morning and afternoon hours, when demand for electricity is highest. The use of the technology thus relieves the burden on the local electricity grid, especially due to the higher electricity prices on the exchange during production times.
Investors who are interested in the project can obtain regular information about ecological investments and renewable energies via the “Grüne Sachwerte Aktuell” newsletter from Grüne Sachwerte. The newsletter, which is sent every two to three months, covers topics on energy, environmental and economic policy and deals with current developments in the corporate environment.
Through the combination of sustainable energy production and agricultural use, the planned solar park in Gersheim makes an important contribution to implementing the energy transition in Germany. The first limited partnership investments are already available and could represent an attractive opportunity for interested investors to invest in a future-oriented project.
