The Saarklang Festival is celebrating a significant comeback this year. The event will take place for the first time at the Völklinger Hütte on June 27th and 28th, 2025. Sol.de reports that the organizer PopRat Saarland wants to create a sustainable platform for young musical talent.

The festival is organized by students of the music management course at Saarland University. The 2024 Saarklang Festival took place on June 8th at Tbilisser Platz in Saarbrücken after flood damage affected previous planning. Despite these challenges, the festival attracted around 500 visitors and offered a varied program of performances, including headliners by the all-female rock group JINGS and the rock band Fashioned from Bone.
