In Völklingen, on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at around 11:10 p.m., there was a violent confrontation between two groups of female young people on Bismarckstrasse. The argument escalated after verbal provocations and insults, which ultimately led to the use of pepper spray by one of the participants. In total, at least five people sustained minor injuries, with around 50 people at the scene, forcing police to temporarily close the road. The incident caused a stir as many people present showed solidarity with one of the groups.
A 17-year-old who tried to break up the argument was also a victim of the pepper spray. However, his behavior towards the emergency services was problematic: he spat at their feet and insulted them. The police finally separated the parties and initiated an investigation. The affected young people were transferred to the care of their parents.
