New Snoezel room in Osnabrück: Bridge pillar donation makes it possible!
There is great joy at the Christophorus Hospital Osnabrück (CKO): Thanks to a generous donation from the Brückenpfeiler Foundation, a new Snoezel room was able to be set up. This special space, designed for relaxing and nurturing sensory experiences, will primarily benefit patients in the neurology department. NOZ reports that CKO staff are confident that the new space will significantly improve patients' quality of life.
The Snoezel room is intended to offer various sensory experiences that serve therapeutic purposes in particular. "We have seen in recent years how important such offers are for mental and physical health. The donation enables us to create a stress-free environment that contributes to recovery," said a person responsible for the hospital.
New paths in digital journalism
In the context of the media landscape, this is happening New Osnabrücker Zeitung (NOZ) a striking change: The media company is launching a new digital subscription model for its news portal noz.de. This model allows readers to read up to 20 articles per month for free, while access beyond that is only provided with a subscription.
With this strategy, the media company is responding to the increasing demand for quality journalism and the desire of readers to pay for first-class content. This initiative is supported by a new smartphone app, which also offers paid content. Those interested can take out a subscription after a 30-day trial period.
Strengthening the core business
The introduction of the digital payment model is a central part of the media company's 2016 strategy, with the aim of strengthening the core business. The relaunch of noz.de and the development of special apps are key measures. The new subscription models, such as “DigitalPremium”, offer users extensive access options and create offers that are aimed at different target groups.
With over 34,000 downloads since the smartphone app was introduced in July 2013, the Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung is one of a growing number of publishers offering paid content. The Federal Association of German Newspaper Publishers (BDZV) now lists 74 different paid content models for German newspapers, a remarkable increase of 75 percent compared to the previous year.
