Rhineland-Palatinate Day 2025: Neustadt celebrates with music and parades!

Rhineland-Palatinate Day 2025 began on May 23rd in Neustadt an der Weinstraße and promises a colorful festival for young and old. Numerous visitors flocked to the historic city center, which has been transformed into a large stage for music, culture, democracy and enjoyment, on Friday evening to take part in the festival. Michael Schulte's first concert attracted so many guests that entry had to be stopped, reports Rhine Palatinate.

The event not only celebrates the 38th Rhineland-Palatinate Day, but also the 750th anniversary of Neustadt. Until May 25th, visitors can look forward to an extensive program that includes parades, stage acts, information stands and interactive hands-on activities. Entry is free for everyone, making the celebrations even more accessible, like Ludwigshafen24 highlights.

Diverse program

The Rhineland-Palatinate Day program features an impressive line-up of artists, including Joris, Curtis Stigers, Topic and KAMRAD, as well as numerous regional talents, choirs, DJs and orchestras. Daily parades, which delight with colorful costumes and live music, are a central part of the festival. On Saturday, visitors can experience the “Rhineland-Palatinate Dances” event, which presents dance groups and the official Rhineland-Palatinate Day song.

Particularly noteworthy are the many participatory activities and interactive formats from clubs and institutions. A Neustadt city beach with loungers, sand and hammocks invites you to relax, while the old town courtyards offer readings, music and exhibitions. A medieval market on Wernigeröder Platz and a special exhibition on the city's history round off the cultural offering.

Services and offers

A wide range of stands offering food and drinks ensure your physical well-being. After the day's festivities, nightly entertainment will also be provided, including after-show parties with DJs in the hall building. The event also offers a series of free themed tours on topics such as history, democracy and urban development.

A shuttle bus connection that connects all the event stations ensures that visitors can easily get from one attraction to the next. An extended timetable for trains and buses also supports the journey to Rhineland-Palatinate Day. The city of Neustadt and its residents warmly welcome visitors and look forward to a happy and varied weekend.
