Bingen: Shocking accident with a runaway horse – driver injured!
On the night of November 6, 2025, a tragic accident occurred near Bingen when a car collided with two runaway horses. Loud daily news, the two horses occurred on State Road 419, which led to the dangerous circumstances of the collision.
The accident occurred around 4:30 a.m. when the driver, a 47-year-old, did not notice the stationary obstacle in time in foggy conditions. She suffered shock and was immediately taken to hospital.
Consequences of the accident
Unfortunately, one of the horses had to be shot by the police due to serious injuries, while the second horse remained unharmed and was later returned to its owner. The exact circumstances that led to the horses' escape are still unclear as investigations into the matter are still ongoing.
Due to the accident, state road 419 was closed for around two and a half hours, which led to traffic delays in the area.
