Julian's family needs your help: fundraising campaign for a wheelchair-accessible car!

The family of 14-year-old Julian Staß from St. Wendel is facing a major challenge. Julian, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor eight years ago, urgently needs a wheelchair-accessible vehicle. The operation in May 2017 was followed by chemotherapy and radiation therapy for over a year. To this day, regular MRI checks are necessary, which Julian has mastered impressively with 18 medals for sedation-free MRI examinations. The MRI examinations each last an hour and a half, during which Julian enjoys listening to audio books.

Due to the consequences of his cancer, the young person needs support in everyday life and sometimes uses a wheelchair. Since the family's old small car does not meet these needs, the Lützelsoon support association has launched an appeal for donations in order to be able to finance a new, wheelchair-accessible vehicle for the family. The charity “Help Mit!” the Saarbrücker Zeitung is actively involved in this fundraising campaign.

Important support for the family

Christian Erhorn, managing director of the Saarbrücker Zeitung, has announced a donation of 10,000 euros. Part of this sum comes from a surplus from a previous “wheelchair campaign”. This support touches the family very much, especially Julian's mother, Katja Staß, who reacted emotionally to the positive news. The donation account to support the family is: Förderverein Lützelsoon, Volksbank Rhein-Nahe-Hunsrück eG, IBAN: DE 09 5609 0000 0003 3333 37, password: Julian-Maurice.

Financial support is of great importance to Julian and his family. The challenges they have to overcome due to his illness are enormous. Therefore, everyone who would like to help is welcome to contribute their donations. On the Hirntumorhilfe website, those interested can also find information about various options for solidarity support, be it through individual donations, anniversary or condolence donations, as well as through participation in charity campaigns.

It is important that the public is made aware of the circumstances of families facing the challenges of cancer. Community support can make a crucial difference in the lives of those affected.
