Classic car rendezvous in Saarlouis: Experience fascination and inclusion!

The Oldtimer Rendezvous will take place in Saarlouis from June 27th to 29th, 2025, an event aimed at fans of historic vehicles. The event is considered one of the largest and most beautiful classic car meetings in the southwest and attracts over 70 participants from half of Europe who present vehicles from 1923 to 1989. A special highlight is the American LaFrance 75, an impressive fire engine with a displacement of 14 liters and a weight of almost three tons, which will be presented by Hans-Jürgen Weh and Stefan Breitschwerdt. The American LaFrance Fire Engine Company is known for its specialized fire engines.

On Friday and Saturday, participants take part in enjoyable tours through the Saarlouis district and the surrounding regions. This “vintage car hiking/pleasure tour” starts on Thursday with a vehicle check at the small market and from Friday at 9 a.m. On Saturday, participants return around 4 p.m. where they will be entertained by musical sounds. The international classic car meeting follows on Sunday at the Great Market from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Diverse program with attractions

The program of the classic car rendezvous includes numerous attractions. On June 28th, visitors can expect a special show of the Citroën DS, which is being held to mark the model's 70th anniversary. On this occasion, 50 to 60 vehicles built between 1955 and 1975 are expected to take part in the celebrations. The Concours d’Elegance also takes place on Sunday at the Kleiner Markt, where a jury of experts judges the elegant vehicles.

Fans of food and music are also catered for. The music program ranges from Luigi Botta on Friday to “The Mad Facts” on Saturday and Frank Palumbo on Sunday. There is also a rock 'n' roll dance floor, which is livened up by "Big Wave and the Bandits".

Inclusion and ride sharing

Particularly noteworthy is the ride in a vintage car on June 28th, which is organized by the Pro-Inclusion Saarlouis platform. Anyone interested can take part in this campaign, although a donation is requested for the “Ehrensache” association to support equestrian therapy for children with disabilities. Information stands from associations for people with disabilities will also be present to provide information about the possibilities of inclusion.

Organizers Rainer Bastuck and Dirk Lamest, supported by over 100 helpers from classic car clubs, put a lot of effort into preparing for the event. Bastuck is not only chairman of the Triumph Club Saar, but also a supplier of spare parts and has extensive experience in organizing classic car meetings. With a diverse program and a clear focus on the participation of everyone, the classic car rendezvous in Saarlouis will be an unforgettable experience for classic car lovers and the entire region.
