The Städtische Galerie Neunkirchen will soon be presenting a remarkable exhibition by the artist Katharina Hinsberg. The vernissage of the show with the title “KATHARINA HINSBERG | THE PARTS AND THE WHOLE” will take place on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 7 p.m. The gallery is currently closed for exhibition renovations, while the KKM Ceramic Art Museum is already open in the same facility. The Förderkreis Städtische Galerie/Museum Neunkirchen e.V., in collaboration with the VHS Neunkirchen, has initiated an art trip to Metz for Monday, June 23rd.
The exhibition in the gallery impresses with the use of orange as the dominant color of the partition walls. Two different shades of this color create an appealing visual effect. In addition, a draft through an open door shows that other colors are also present. The artist worked intensively on the materiality, with the humidity deforming the paper and causing it to curl in some places. Hinsberg emphasizes that these phenomena are intentional and are part of her artistic concept.
Art and culture in Neunkirchen
The KKM Ceramic Art Museum, which opened on August 27, 2023, offers a collection of contemporary works of art of international standing. The first exhibition presents more than 250 unique pieces by 150 ceramic artists from around 30 countries. With an area of around 300 square meters, the museum is housed in the Neunkirchen KULT.Kulturzentrum and therefore offers an attractive setting for art lovers.
