On June 7, 2025, the 43rd district fire brigade youth performance competition took place in the Kirchschlag West Stadium, an event that put numerous young fire brigade talents to the test. A total of 20 groups competed against each other in 33 rounds in the bronze and silver categories. The participants were able to demonstrate their skills and teamwork in an exciting competition. WN24 reports that 63 boys and girls took part in the individual competition for the competition badge.
The most successful fire brigade youth groups were announced right at the start of the competition. The Hollenthon Volunteer Fire Department dominated the competition by winning the bronze (boys) and silver (girls) categories. The best youth group of the day was the FF Küb from the Gloggnitz section, which came out on top in the overall ranking.

Certificates, medals and trophies were presented as part of the award ceremony, at which guests of honor such as district captain WHR Mag. Markus Sauer and deputy mayor Bernhard Pürrer were present. Both gentlemen thanked the organizers and young participants for their commitment and discipline. Particular recognition was given to the evaluation team led by Julia Pichler as well as the volunteer fire brigades of subsection 4, who were responsible for the organization.
National context and other competitions
The competition in Kirchschlag is part of a series of events that promote the commitment of young firefighters throughout Austria. For example, around 600 young firefighters took part in the 24th Federal Fire Brigade Youth Performance Competition in the Lienz Dolomiten Stadium, where the fastest firefighter youth groups were determined. The participants came from all over Austria as well as guest teams from South Tyrol and Trentino. The next federal fire brigade youth performance competition will take place in Styria in two years.
