Taxi break-in: Flörsheim-Wicker raises the alarm!

On the night of Thursday, May 29, 2025, a taxi was broken into in Flörsheim-Wicker, more precisely on Goethestrasse. The previously unknown perpetrator broke a side window between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. and stole a wallet with unknown contents. The Sulzbach criminal police have started the investigation and are asking for information on the telephone number 📞 06196 20730, as news-stadt.de reports.

On Wednesday evening, May 28, 2025, another incident occurred in the Main-Taunus Center in Sulzbach. At around 5:45 p.m., a woman entered a self-checkout store followed by four males. Together they stole food and put it in paper bags. The Eschborn police are asking for information about this group of people, which can be reported on 📞 06196 96950.

Hit and run and other crimes

Another unpleasant event occurred between May 27th and 28th, 2025 in Kriftel. A parked white Tesla on Kapellenstrasse was hit by an unknown vehicle. In a completely different part of Germany the reported news.de an incident in Waiblingen. On Monday at 11:45 a.m. an unknown man rang the doorbell of a senior citizen in Wildtaubenweg and pretended to be a Telekom employee. He claimed that he needed to check the pipes for damage and called in a "colleague", which resulted in the theft of jewelry worth several hundred euros. Similar incidents happened on Friedrich-Schofer-Strasse, where jewelry worth mid-four figures was stolen. Investigations are ongoing and witnesses are being called upon to assist.

Fire and traffic disruptions

Also on Tuesday evening, at 7:00 p.m., a fire broke out on Mayenner Strasse in Waiblingen. A burning trash can ignited a refrigerator, causing extensive damage to an adjacent bakery. The total damage is estimated at around 30,000 euros. The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.

There was also an incident in Backnang in which an unknown perpetrator broke into a parked Hyundai on Friedhofstrasse and stole a handbag containing cash, money and credit cards as well as a high-quality smartphone. The damage is around 1,000 euros. The police are urgently looking for witnesses.

Most recently, a 28-year-old VW driver with over 1 per mille of alcohol in his blood was stopped during a traffic stop in Welzheim/Breitenfürst. His driver's license was confiscated at the scene and a blood sample was taken at the hospital.
