A hiking route in Rhineland-Palatinate has received the official nomination for “Germany’s Most Beautiful Hiking Trail 2025”. Mercury reported. The approximately eleven kilometer long path promises its hikers impressive views as well as access to historical buildings.

The tour is classified as “medium”, which makes it particularly suitable for less experienced hikers. A special highlight on the route is a picturesque gorge in which a romantic waterfall gushes. This combination of natural experience and cultural highlights makes the hiking route an attractive destination for outdoor enthusiasts.

Examples of excellent hiking trails

This nomination is one of a number of awards for high-quality hiking trails in Rhineland-Palatinate. In 2019, the hiking trail “In the Valley of the Wild Endert” in the Eifel received an award. This path takes hikers from forested mountain ranges down to the gentle meanders of the Moselle and is characterized by a total length of 20.7 kilometers.

With an altitude difference of almost 450 meters, which is mostly downhill, this hiking trail is suitable for anyone planning a day hike. Hikers can discover a wealth of attractions along the route, including:
