Billy goat tradition inspires at Rhineland-Palatinate Day in Neustadt!

On May 26, 2025, the opening parade of Rhineland-Palatinate Day took place in Neustadt an der Weinstraße, which attracted numerous visitors. As part of the billy goat tradition, the famous Billy Goat March takes place, which begins on the Tuesday after Pentecost at 5:30 a.m. The historic march leads from Lambrecht (Palatinate) train station to Deidesheim train station and is an unforgettable experience for many participants. The route is clearly marked and leads through picturesque landscapes and vineyards.

• Im Wald den Anstieg zur Passhöhe „Alte Schanz“ nehmen.
• Verschiedene Pfade führen durch reizvolle Landschaften zur Waldschänke und weiter zum Bahnhof Deidesheim.
