Luxembourg's urban garden: Experience nature meets art until October!

The Luxembourg Urban Garden LUGA garden exhibition is currently taking place in Luxembourg, with the motto “Making the invisible visible”. This event, which opened two weeks ago, aims to highlight the connections and divisions between nature and urban life. Admission to LUGA is free and the exhibition is open until October 18, 2025. Visitors can look forward to urban gardens, art and landscape installations and innovative agricultural projects. These measures reflect the desire to bring nature back to the city and promote sustainable lifestyles. Nachrichten.at reports that the event is an important step towards promoting a green urban culture.

In addition to the LUGA, the Palmengarten in Frankfurt am Main offers numerous attractions for garden lovers. The show houses include the Tropicarium, the Palm House, the Subantarctic House and various exhibition galleries. The flower and butterfly house is particularly popular, but its fluttering period ended in April, although there have been no new deliveries of pupae since April 21st. The population of butterflies is expected to continue to decline until early October 2025. Nevertheless, the exhibition “Dusted – of flowers and their visitors” remains open daily and is included in the entrance fee to the Palmengarten. Palmengarten.de also provides information about practical aspects of the visit.

Visit information

The show houses in the Palmengarten close one hour after the box office closes, and exit is possible via turnstiles until 11 p.m. at the latest. For visitors who rely on wheelchairs, these are available for a deposit at the Siesmayerstrasse ticket office, although reservations by telephone are recommended. Dogs are not allowed on site, except for certified assistance and service dogs with ID who must be kept on a leash.

Both events - the LUGA in Luxembourg and the offerings in the Palmengarten - not only offer plant and garden lovers a wealth of knowledge and inspiration, but also contribute to increasing awareness of the importance of green spaces in urban areas. Whether in the heart of Luxembourg or in Frankfurt, the love of nature and its integration into urban design is clearly promoted here.
