New tourism cooperation: This is how Mettlach becomes an attractive destination!

Saarschleifenland Tourismus GmbH (STG) and Saarschleife Touristik GmbH & Co. KG (ST) have taken an important step to promote tourism in the municipality of Mettlach. The main aim of this cooperation is the continuous development of tourism in Mettlach.

As part of this collaboration, STG will coordinate tourism work. The tasks include the conception of marketing measures, the further development of digital communication and sales channels as well as the development of bookable offers. Another focus is on cooperation with service providers and other players in the tourism industry.

Strategic priorities and workshop content

A recent workshop clustered various topics that will be relevant for future work. The focus was on aspects such as hiking, river tourism, health tourism and shopping tourism. Smaller teams made up of employees from both organizations will work specifically on these key areas.

A future-oriented exchange with tourism service providers is planned, including individual discussions and a later joint event. The aim is also to integrate the wishes and goals of the service providers into future tourism work. The various districts should also be actively involved in tourism development.

The Saar loop as a tourist highlight

A significant aspect of tourism in the region is the breathtaking Saar loop, which is not only a well-known landmark but also offers a wide range of leisure opportunities. The project is supported by a commercially trained managing director who will manage the Mettlach tourism company.
