Out of Order” rocks the podium: 1st place at the state competition!

The band “Out of Order” took part in this year’s competition podium.jazz.pop.rock in age group 3 and won 1st prize in the “popular & more” category. The young band, supervised by FL Harald Gneist, is a prime example of the talent and creativity that can be found in our region.

The band members, consisting of Sergio Besta (drums), Fabian Windisch (bass), Sophie Grof (vocals), Valentina Besta (guitar, vocals) and Julia Soff (keyboard, vocals), impressed the jury with their performance. The joy of the musicians' success is clearly noticeable at the music school, which stands behind the talented artists.

About the competition

The competition podium.jazz.pop.rock is aimed at children, teenagers and young adults. It offers musicians from music schools, conservatories, private institutions and music universities throughout Austria a platform to demonstrate their skills. The focus is on your own compositions and interpretations, which greatly promotes the participants' creative freedom.

A central goal of the competition is to promote collaborative music-making in the genres of jazz, pop and rock. The evaluation takes place without the influence of business and the pop industry, which enables an authentic representation of the artist. With their victory, the band “Out of Order” has once again shown that the young music scene is flourishing.

Success and support

The music school that supports the band is pleased with the success of its students and sees their performance in the competition as confirmation of their work. The framework conditions of the competition, which offer specific support at state and federal level, are essential for the development of young talent in the music scene.

“Out of Order” exemplifies the commitment and enthusiasm that young musicians bring to music. Your first place is not only a personal success, but also a sign of the opportunities that the field of popular music offers in Austria.
