Wormatia is heading for the next setback – coach demands stability!
Wormatia Worms suffered another setback in the football game against Saarland. Two players, goalkeeper Tobias Edinger and defense chief Altin Vrella, were particularly in focus after a disappointing afternoon on the pitch. Edinger was not optimally positioned when he conceded two goals, which severely affected the team's performance. Vrella also contributed to the defeat when he made it 1:2 with a failed back pass and deflected a harmless shot into his own goal, which led to 1:4. In addition, Vrella was spared a possible red card for a hard start shortly before half-time.
The hosts scored their goals primarily through a counterattack and a set piece. Despite the efforts of the Worms team, they were unhappy as only one of their own shots found the opponent's goal and the team as a whole did not achieve their optimum performance. Coach Anouar Ddaou announced that he wanted to work on the basics in the training week before the next game against FC Emmelshausen-Karbach in order to improve performance. The upcoming game takes place on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. and the team is hoping for a positive turnaround.
Training focus before the next games
The Wormatia is determined to regain its stability. Coach Ddaou's speech suggests that individual mistakes like those of Edinger and Vrella must not become the norm. Analysis of the game will be crucial for the team to make the necessary adjustments.
In the current phase of the game it is important that the team regains self-confidence and believes in their abilities. Players and coaches have high hopes for the upcoming training sessions in order to effectively work on their strengths and correct mistakes.
